Sand casting

Wako Odlewnia is an experienced non-ferrous metal foundry from Pruszków, specialising in the manufacture of precision components for industry. One of the core technologies we use is sand casting - one of the most versatile and economical methods of producing metal castings.

This technology makes it possible to produce parts of varying shapes, sizes and weights, while maintaining high accuracy and a favourable quality-to-price ratio. Thanks to its flexibility, it is used in many industrial sectors.

What does the sand casting process involve?

Sand casting is an advanced technological process that begins with the making of sand moulds, often equipped with casting cores to enable complex internal geometries.

The mould is then flooded with liquid metal with strictly defined parameters. Once the material has solidified and the mould has broken, the component is removed and subjected to further finishing operations to achieve the required shape, accuracy and surface quality.
